Dive into the fascinating world of the Vikings!
Now boarding the Drakkar… We’re setting sail for Scandinavia!
This winter, the “Ice Cave” (Grotte de Glace) is hitting the waves and taking visitors to meet the Vikings. Snow and ice sculptures designed by artists at the start of the season will immerse children and adults alike in the mythical world of these warriors from northern Europe. From 22 December 2018, horned helmets, long beards and animal pelts will be found amongst polar bears in an ice gallery measuring 34 metres long and 15 metres wide.
This year, Thyon’s “Ice Cave” will be built in the Collons village, at level 1850, next to Petit Vallon’s play area (espace ludique du Petit Vallon). A car park with around 100 spaces is available nearby.
