Hike Itinerary
• Departure from Thyon 2000
Hike along the Crêtes de Thyon with a panoramic view of the Valais Alps.
• Discovering the Gouilles d’Essertze (2,300 m)
Explore this string of small alpine lakes with a magnificent panorama of the valley, the Dent Blanche, and the Grande Dixence Dam.
• Nature Observation
In this area of wetlands and peat bogs dating back more than 13,000 years, we’ll try to observe dragonflies—and perhaps damselflies—emerging from their nymphal stages.

Learn about their history, lifestyle, and impressive abilities as aerial predators.
• A Time to Connect with Nature
An accessible hike to enjoy the beauty and richness of alpine nature, with family or friends.
This hike can also be organized upon request (minimum 2 people).
The hike will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Thyon 2000 parking lot; we expect to return between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., depending on the group’s pace, the weather, and everyone’s preferences.
