Hike Itinerary • Departure from Thyon 2000 Hike along the Crêtes de Thyon with a panoramic view of the Valais Alps. • Discovering the Gouilles d’Essertze (2,300 m) Explore this string of small alpine lakes with a magnificent panorama of the valley, the Dent Blanche, and the Grande Dixence Dam. • Nature Observation In this area of wetlands and peat bogs dating back more than 13,000 years, we’ll try to observe dragonflies—and perhaps damselflies—emerging from their nymphal stages. • Dragonflies: Fascinating Insects Learn about their history, lifestyle, and impressive abilities as aerial predators. • A Time to Connect with Nature An accessible hike to enjoy the beauty and richness of alpine nature, with family or friends. This hike can also be organized upon request (minimum 2 people).
