Introduction to ski touring with ESS

On Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7, 2024, two initiations to ski touring techniques are organized to learn how to :

- Know what equipment you need;
- Use your own equipment: skinning, de-skinning, wedges;
- Master uphill walking techniques and conversions.
- Analyze the terrain.

The initiation will take place on the beginners' course of the Mouvement Track des Collons 1900.
Registration required with the Thyon Ski School.

To make the most of this activity, the course will be given in groups of 2 to 6 people. A small surprise will be given to reward you for your efforts.

Equipment can be hired from one of the resort's sports stores:

No skiing ability is required, but you must be able to ski (red runs).
Guests must bring their own avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe.
Ski clothing is compulsory (ski trousers, jacket, hat, gloves, etc.).
Bring a bottle of water in your rucksack.
