In the heart of the Valais Alps, the toughest one-day cycling race in the world!
The event sets itself apart by proposing a challenge that is unique in the world: "Measure yourself against the vertical drop of Mount Everest in a single day".
Whatever the length of the challenge (over one or more days) and the length of the route chosen, the Tour des Stations promises to link exceptional resorts in a grandiose environment with an extraordinary "vertical drop per km"!
The challenge matches the characteristics of the Marmotte Granfondo Series: distance (220 km, 140 km or 50 km), difficulty (7'400m/D+, 4'700m/D+ or 2'000m/D+), and outstanding mountain passes, including Thyon 2000 at 2'090m and the Croix-de-Cœur at 2'174m.
The Tour des Stations traverses the enchanting landscapes of the Valais, from vineyards to high mountains, passing through natural pastures, small authentic villages and internationally recognized resorts.
Traffic disruption: The route de l'Alpage will be disrupted and will be one-way on the way up. Cars will have to go down the route de Thyon.
