Discover the Thyon region on a magnificent hike, accompanied by the gentle sound of cowbells. Climb towards Mont-Rouge to reach the Cabane d'Essertse! All this with an early morning refreshment and breakfast.

Come and enjoy a magnificent dawn hike in Thyon to admire the sunrise with our guide Xavier Marty (www.martymcfly.ch).
Meet at 4 a.m. in front of the Tourist Office in Les Collons for an evening departure in the direction of the Essertze hut. The first stage of the hike lasts around 2 hours and is rewarded by a sunrise breakfast overlooking the majestic panorama of the Imperial Crown. We continue our hike towards the ridges to reach the top of the ski area, from where we can take the chairlift down to Les Collons.
Difficulty :
For good walkers - Alpine T3 good physical condition
Approx. 4h30 (excluding breaks)
Schedule* :
4:00 - Meet in front of Thyon Tourist Office
6:00 - Arrival at Cabane d'Essertze for breakfast
7:00 - Continuation of the walk towards the Crêtes
9:00 - Descent to Les Collons (Trabanta chairlift)
10:30 - Return to the tourist office

Specific equipment :
- Good hiking boots
- Suitable jacket and clothing (cold nights at 2000 meters, even in summer)
- Sufficient water
- Charged headlamp
- Charged cell phone
- Event. Sticks
Payment:
The fee is CHF 35 per person, payable in advance.
